Cargo Security & General Security Awareness Training
These were instructor delivered compliance training courses. Organisations needed to pay an instructor to travel and deliver this training and refresher training every couple of years. What if these courses could be provided to their staff on a computer?
From my perspective, what if colour, icons, diagrams, animation and interactivity to could be brought to the subject, improving understanding and allowing staff to sit the training at their own pace?
I independently developed and designed all graphical, audio, video, animated and interactive content. I assisted with the written content by proof reading before it was sent for narration.
Organisations Involved in Aviation Security
I found it hard to remember the main organisations and their role within aviation security. I used icons, diagrams, animation and interactivity to increase clarity that a verbally delivered course couldn't offer.
The airport zones
I also loved producing this animated diagram, in time with the audio, to illustrate the different areas of an airport and the access restrictions associated with each.

The Diagram was created in Illustrator and animated in Flash, allowing the user to skip back and forth between the animated and narrated explanations of each zone.
Some of my own photography also came in useful.
Module Objectives
Each module began with a screen listing the objectives. I chose to animate these screens.
I scripted a Glossary for a version of the program. This glossary idea was developed and made more integrated to each screen using technical vocabulary, for a later product
Photography
I was involved in recording visuals for this program. We filmed Bournemouth airport's over night cargo operations. I also took many stills that were used in the course and other products.
