Front Runner Sheffield asked me for a promotional leaflet or poster to help them as sponsors of Totley AC's race series. This was my solution with the photography I had at the time.
I now have a better collection of images but would still like to reflect the range of conditions the race series covers. I would like to feature a snowy morning right through to a dry dusty evening.
I was asked to feature the Totley Tunnel in a 25th anniversary series tee shirt. The committee also hoped a map (covering our race routes) could feature. To allow both to meet the tee shirt printing requirements, I used the illustrator trace feature and manually illustrated most of the map.
This skeleton was built and animated with injuries inflicted partly to improve my final project grade. There was also hope that I would pay more attention to my own injuries, by visually understanding them better.
Well ... the former was achieved.
I found a local club with a small womens team. For every match, we struggled to field enough players. On one occasion, the opposition didn't want to play a match with only 13 positions to fill (losing the 'flanker' for example), so we asked if we could have one of their players. Fracturing my metatarsal whilst dancing didn't help our situation, either! These posters were part of an attempt to promote the game to women.
I enjoyed designing these for a friend with a very creative mind.
